Vijay Ramanathan & Group
Vijay is a freelance vocalist, composer, music producer, and sound engineer.
He is a highly accomplished vocalist and composer based in Eden Prairie, MN. He has received extensive training in South Indian Classical (Carnatic) music, and has performed in numerous classical and light music concerts. Vijay also composes music for stage, film and television, and operates his own recording center, DigiRaga Studios. His works include theme music for local television programs, “Chai City” and “Geetmala”, sound design and score for the stage show “Fear of Freedom”, “Fragile Lines”, and “Mann Manam” by Aniccha Arts and soundtrack for the short film “Mat Baanto Insaan Ko”. Vijay has collaborated on many projects with artists and organizations both here in the Twin Cities and elsewhere in the country. These include the Katha Dance Theatre, Pangea World Theater, Ragamala Music and Dance Theater, Sanskriti Dance Academy and others. Vijay has released a music album, Namah, a collection of Hindu devotional songs.
